Rhapsody in Blue
This arrangement retains all the Gershwin flavor and orchestral flourishes without being impossibly difficult for a pianist. My student asked for some Jazz as a summer treat after a year of heavy classics. This may be too much to finish with only another month before his school year begins again, but the material is worth taking extra lesson time to master. Today's teens don't have a lot of experience with jazz harmonies or Gershwin's major works. I look forward to teaching this material.
