Reverses use a spiritual inquiry feel as it is a tone poem about adversity and defeat. It is written for mezzo-alto and baritone voices, violin and bass drum.  The vocal part has elements of baroque style while violin part has mostly secondary melodic material in which the bass drum acts as a heartbeat from beginning to end symbolizing that as long a heartbeat prevails so does overcoming a defeat in a tone poetic sense. .

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
