This is Part I of the World Liturgical Premiere Recording of William Hawley's Requiem Commemoratio Omnium Fidelium Defunctorum for Chorus, Orchestra, and Organ, commissioned by St. Dominic's Catholic Church, San Francisco. The Premiere took place at St. Dominic's on All Souls' Day, November 2, 2007, performed by the St. Dominic's Solemn Mass Choir; the San Francisco Choral Artists; and the St. Dominic's Festival Orchestra, Simon Berry, Conductor. The timings of the three movements of Part I are as follows: Introit and Kyrie 00:03-5:53 Psalm 6:01-9:31 Gradual and Tract 9:39-15:27 Part II of this recording is also available on this site, along with the Full Score, Vocal Score, Organ Version Score, Orchestral Parts and the complete Composer's Virtual Instruments Demo recording.
