A beautiful chorale prelude based on the hymn It Is Well With My Soul. The evocative sounds of quiet tenor and bass drums open mysteriously, followed by dialogue between drums and small groups of instruments. After the hymn is stated, followed by a powerful cadence the peace ends with tenor and bass drums fading into silence.

Remembrance is a chorale prelude based on the hymn "It is Well with My Soul." The piece begins quietly with the evocative, mysterious sound of tenor and bass drum. A dialogue follows between the drums and small groups within the ensemble. A fluid prelude unfolds based on the hymn tune. The prelude is repeated, but this time the hymn tune is heard superimposed upon it. After a powerful cadence, the tenor and bass drum are heard again as they quietly disappear into gentle silence.
