Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 3 - Digital Download
SKU: A0.782483
Composed by Tyler Merideth. Contemporary,Graduation,Hip-Hop. Octavo. 13 pages. Tyler Merideth #566481. Published by Tyler Merideth (A0.782483).
This is a choral setting of Christina Rossetti's Poem "Remember Me" arranged for Soprano, Alto and Baritone with piano accompaniment. It opens with a very dissonant round over a minor tonality loosely based in a hip-hop beat. The poem dictates the harmony and text painting pervades throughout. A final major resolution occurs when the text "better by far you forget and smile than you remember and be sad".

Remember Me
This piece has rhythmic interest, and beautiful melodies throughout. Challenging piano accompaniment, which requires a solid beat around which the syncopation is formed. The SAB part writing makes this piece more accessible and the canon at the beginning works perfectly. However, with unexpected key changes and text painting in the second half, your choir will need some time to rehearse this piece until it gels! Lovely poem by Christina Rossetti paves the way for a wonderful graduation piece!

More than your average SAB
Too often SAB arrangements are overly simple or trite. This has interesting rhythms, independent and interesting vocal lines in each voice part, and as always with a Merideth composition, the piano complements without competing with the choir, yet is interesting in and of itself.
