This is a slightly revised version of the composition by the same name previously published here on Sheet Music Plus.Years of playing through it have suggested some interesting harmonic changes to the original score.This is a lament, a nostalgic reverie,  in a style reminiscent of Piazzolla. The basic meter (3+3+2 eight notes) is interrupted three times by a livelier one (3+3+3+3+2+2 sixteenth notes), and the value of the sixteenth note must be the same for both meters, to get the desired effect.Reflections was composed as the second movement of the Elegiac Triptych in memory my friend and mentor, the great American Conductor and ArrangerMaurice Peress (1931- 2017)
