This early art song of mine was written while I was studying music composition/theory at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati,Ohio. It was written for my mother Eva’s 60th birthday and was also used in my first theatrical work, the rock opera “Chenoa”. The vocalise theme that closes the song with it’s Andalusian cadence has been reused a number of times in my compositional life.-P.S.
