A slow Milonga (country-side milonga [*]) written down after a visit to the cemetery at El Escorial (Spain) on 30 March 2008. This is the typical piece that is distilled in concentric stages: first a lead sheet version (only melody and chords), later a simple piano solo version that gradually becomes more and more complex.
And later versions for different instruments, such as Violin & piano (here), flute and piano (transposed), cor anglais and piano, piano four hands etc. Tere are 14 different versions of this piece, which only reflects the interest on it.
