Described as a love song, originally written for guitar, flute and string ensemble, the gentle “baroque pretty” melodies are full of romantic expressiveness suited to the French horn’s smooth, mellow timbres. This arrangement is for four French horns and takes the original key of E Major down to Eb Major which, when transposed to Bb Major, becomes a key more suited to this instrument.
