This is my arrangement of Corcovado by Antonio Carlos Jobim. My version includes a 12 bar introduction and a new ending.
It's a romantic bossa nova song written in and around the year 1960. The song is in A minor with a 34 bar ABAC form. It is 34 bars instead of 32 as the final C is 10, rather than 8 bars long. When playing this form around more than once, I sometimes extend this to 12 bars and repeat. In this version a repeat of the melody and a new ending section makes the C section 16 bars long.
