Entrée: een plechtige opening die in mineur begint en in majeur eindigt.2. Danse: een lichtvoetig stuk waarbij de onregelmatige ritmiek opvalt.3. Rêverie: een dromerig stukje met hoogten en laagten in een erg vrij tempo.4. Cortège: in een statig tempo zet de stoet zich in beweging en marcheert vrolijk naar het breed en klankvol slot toe.

The title of this work is pure fantasy. You could think it refers to the four parts composing this piece.1. Entry: a solemn overture starting in the minor and ending in the major key.2. Dance: a quite light piece boasting very irregular rhythms.3. Reverie: a short piece with a rather dreamy character with ups and downs and with a rather free tempo.4. Cortege (Procession): the procession starts at a solemn pace and proceeds very merrily towards a final full of rich sounds.

Entrée: une ouverture solennelle qui débute en mineur et se termine en majeur.2. Danse: un morceau très léger qui se fait remarquer par une rythmique irrégulière.3. Cortège (Aufzug): Der Zug setzt sich in einem feierlichen Tempo in Bewegung und marschiert fröhlich zu dem breiten klangvollen Schluss.
