The last of eight volumes in the Violin Collections series pupils' books. Six pieces most of which are considerably longer than in the previous seven volumes. These pieces make good school concert items and have themes which are described through the music. For example in 'Traffic Jam' you can hear the hooting of the car horns and the music comes to a complete halt as the traffic comes to a standstill. Spot the misprint at the beginning! And, a thing that adults do, lose their keys, goes through some slightly odd sounds as the music itself loses key.
The accompaniment book is available separately and includes parts for a violinist, the teacher or mature player and keyboard.
Collections will be available for Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass. All can play and learn together and the books can be used for ensembles and for sight reading.
Learning topics are included at the beginning of each Collection. It is possible to buy the collections in eight volumes, one whole volume, 76 pieces or split into two parts.
