Composed by Richard L. Saucedo. MusicWorks Grade 2. Concert. Score and parts (with online audio). 164 pages. Duration 155 seconds. Hal Leonard #4002865. Published by Hal Leonard (HL.4002865).UPC: 884088352981. 9.0x12.0x0.696 inches. Richard L. Saucedo.
Written entirely in one tempo, but with the meter alternating between 4/4 and 6/8 throughout, Richard Saucedo creates an ingenious effect of pulsating motion along with layers of textures and sounds. Starting with a soloistic dialogue between flute and clarinet the work progresses to thicker sonorities and percussive effects including clapping and shouting. Definitely an enjoyable work that is off the beaten path! Dur: 2:35 (Grade 2-1/2).

Hey! I'm a 8th grade student in Colorado, and this year my school's band got selected to play at CMEA, a program in which only 4 bands in all of Colorado get to perform at , a GREAT honor! So, my band teacher selected this as one of our songs and I'm going to have to say that this song is very exciting, great for the clarinets (the instrument I play) and all other instruments! But, this song is for sure tricky! Every other measure switches from 4/4 time to 6/8 time, so, this song also helps students with counting better, I guess, it's not so bad once you have the beat locked in, I use,Stay Away From The Funky Chicken to help me keep with the beat. This song, is truly fun, it's great, and it keeps you excited for each class because it just sounds so powerful and good and you just can't get enough!!!
