The original version is scored only for string orchestra, utilising a wide range of extended techniques and encompassing the full range available to strings, including the famous knife screeches in the shower scene.
I created this arrangement for symphony orchestra, bringing the colour from woodwinds, brass, and percussion into the suite. The challenges of the original suite are made somewhat easier in this new arrangement, but would still fall on more experienced ensembles to perform.
