Why so downcast, my soul, and so disquieted in me?
Have hope in God; I will yet praise Him, my saving presence, my God.
My God, my soul is downcast within me;
therefore I remember You from the land of Jordan and Hermon, from Mount Mizar.
Abyss calls to abyss when your cataracts sound―
all Your breakers and waves have passed over me.
By day may the LORD command His faithful care, that at night His song be with
me, a prayer to the Deity of my life.
