"This setting uses one of the simplest forms - a chant for the verses sung by a chorus or cantor and a Refrain for all to sing. In earlier musical forms, the verses would use a simple motif repeated for each verse. In this setting, variety is in each verse to closely match the word rhythms. One can perform it in many different ways: by assigning verses to the Sopranos and Altos, Tenors and Basses, Sopranos and Tenors, Altos and Basses, vocal soloists, or the full chorus. This will be especially advantageous if the congregation is not joining in singing the Refrain." - Ronald Arnatt
