What is it, I wonder, that makes Catholic music so dire? Perhaps it is the composers! This is designed, so it says, for amateur musicians. What a shame that these days, that is all the Church can expect. If you like mediocre half-hearted attempt at plainchant then I suppose this works, but unless you possess the training and skill to sing plainchant properly, this will quickly become a dirge. Better no music at all than music done badly.
