Great DVD for advanced players
This DVD contains 44 or so licks (although many of them are identical, just in different positions) in the style of John Petrucci. Andy James does a good job of teaching the licks and often the camera will show you both the left hand and the right hand - I wish it would do that for every lick though. There are a couple of places where the right hand is slightly different in the performance than in the lessons, but since you can pick or hammer on in several places, it doesn't really matter and does not detract from the lessons. I have been playing for 30 years and consider myself intermediate/advanced and I find this material challenging. Andy claims the material is intermediate/advanced, but I would classify it as advanced partly due to the sheer speed. Some of the licks also require quite a bit of manual dexterity. Well worth the price overall.
