Saxophone Trio Saxophone (Eb Alto Saxophone, Bb Tenor Saxophone, Eb Baritone Saxophone) - Level 4
SKU: BZ.ENMS-84453
Composed by Daiki Kato. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 5:00. Bravo Music #ENMS-84453. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84453).
This is a short piece comprised of three movements.
The subtitle "Primula" is a flower. (There are various types, but in Japan, this name refers to specific plants selectively bred in Europe, aka the Japanese Primrose).
Each movement is greatly inspired by the language of flowers as each movements' title is from specific primula. The meanings of each flower are "nobility", "love without words", and "carving the future".
Various expressions deriving from beautiful sounds, dynamics, articulations, and each saxophone's characteristic timbre and their roles in the music is reflected in this composition.
The suite was also inspired by classical saxophone quartet works (except the second movement). It is recommended that the players consider classical methods of quartet performance.
The pitch range has been taken into count for school bands. Hence, the work is accessible for school bands where lower classmen are ready to advance (tenor and baritone saxophone do not need to use the register key).
