A composition by Johann Christian Bach, the so-called "London Bach," one of thirteen children from the second marriage of J.S. Bach; J.C. Bachwas a composer much admired by Mozart, who met him in London when he (Mozart) was just 8 or 9 years old. Along with Handel, another immigrant, J.C. Bach is considered among the greatest "English" composers of the 18th and 19th centuries, essentially filling the gap between Purcell and Elgar. Transcription by Guido Menestrina.
