Perhaps one of the most well-known and recognizable pieces of music that J.S Bach composed, this prelude was composed as part of the Well Tempered Clavier, a book containing a series of piano preludes and fugues in all 12 major and minor keys. Here, the prelude has been transcribed for solo trombone. This transcription is written in a way which leaves much of the interpretive decisions to the performer. There is room for a lot of creativity in how the piece is presented, making it quite rewarding to practice and perform.
