"Prayer to the Motherworld," with text by Gerard Manley Hopkins, is a mystical supplication that invokes a divine essence that brings a sense of unity, peace, and security. Allusions to the world of nature tie the spiritual and natural worlds together in a lovely supplication. This haunting anthem, with a beautiful, arpeggiated accompaniment leading to a colorful climax would be appropriate for any good high school choir through more advanced choirs. Appropriate for either concert or church use. Can also be used as a solo.

My happier world, wherein to wend and meet no sin.
