Potter Waltz is lively waltz from the soundtrack to the 2005 film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Composed by Patrick Doyle, the waltz is played during the Yule Ball scene where the Triwizard Tournament champions dance with their partners. As the dance continues, others join in, including Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall, even Argus Filch dancing with Mrs Norris.The film, directed by Mike Newell and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, was based on J. K. Rowling's 2000 novel of the same name and is the fourth instalment in the Harry Potter series. Its story follows Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts as he is chosen by the Goblet of Fire to compete in the Triwizard Tournament.These arrangements for solo piano form a set of "levels" that are designed to increase in difficulty, taking the performer from a simple and pleasant two-handed performance to a version with all of the nuances and joy of the original.
