More from Sanborn, please!
I have purchased every pop publication by Jan Sanborn and hope she puts out more. Her delightful arrangements are challenging enough to satisfy an advanced player without requiring much practice time. I especially enjoy Ain't She Sweet and You Made Me Feel So Young, both great choices for entertaining at a retirement home, and songs you won't find in generic pops books. Her arrangements are upbeat and unpredictable, a welcome departure from lackluster, so-called advanced, Coates arrangements, which I would characterize as intermediate at best.

Challenging but beautiful
This is one of 4 books I have bought from this arranger. Jan Sanborn has a style that is unmatched and makes even old standards sound modern and appealing. For a pianist just returning to the fold this is challenging music but well worth the effort it is taking to learn it.
