Fun & Rewarding Jazz Twists on Favorites!
I'm absolutely loving this Pop Standards collection! Playing jazz arrangements of classics like 'Imagine' and 'Moondance' is incredibly rewarding. Love this book!
I own a few books from this jazz series, and will continue to acquire more. The arrangements are always so beautifully done. I probably have a smile on my face the whole time Im playing, Lean on Me, Red, Red, Wine, and Save the Last Dance for Me. I...play those constantly, but I also play, God Only Knows, Just the Way You Are, Moondance, People Get Ready, and Stand By Me. I didnt think I liked the arrangement for that last one until I got it down just right. It wont sound right if you skimp on the rhythm at all. California Dreamin seems that way too. Im liking it much better now. I would say the arrangements are late intermediate through early advanced.

One & a Half Stars
The difficulty level is beyond me, but, I mean, ..The arrangements are so overworked I had to look at the title to see what song I was playing. If you like chords like D6#13/b5 go for it. Gizzeled up chords all over the place. Not my cup of tea.
