Bought these for my students to get away from the standard classical style of playing. The 7 songs have different style rhythms from blues, rock, boogie,Disco, and Ragtime. This book(last in the series) has some very good rhythms and are a little more advanced from the level 3 book, Songs sound pretty good to start with, plus I have the students also add some improv. or change some of the note durations along with what is written to make the songs sound even more lively. The Book 4 is easy to read and well organized. Songs are 1 or 2 pages in length. The songs are continued series to get into pop/blues to learn many syncopated rhythms. Usually have my students start with level two. Level one book in this series is a little too basic. Level three gets into little more variety on each song. Level 4 is a great book for learning some fairly challenging songs of the different Styles. hope this helps.
