It masterfully describes the somber falling of Spring rains, before a final opening towards a brighter sky and a colourful rainbow.
The cello part is certainly challenging but, at the same time, it provides a great chance for the cellist to practice thumb position and articulation of the left hand, and bow-length discipline and weight management of the right hand.
This Urtext edition is made up of a full score [10pp.] and a separate cello part [4pp.].
