This lovely SSA anthem tells the story of the Shepherds at Christmas and is perfect for your Christmas services, Lessons & Carols, and Nativity Plays. The first verse and chorus are in unison, and then all parts get a chance to sing harmony and melody in the second verse and chorus. The angelic third section quotes the text from Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” - turning your choir into the heavenly host. Finally, the 3 main melodies are mixed together in an a cappella section, and the piano rejoins the song in a sweetly harmonized ending.
