Peter, Go Ring Them Bells by Mark Hayes 4-Part - Sheet Music

By Mark Hayes

Adapted from his vocal solo collection “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” (Medium-High — 30/2502L; Medium-Low — 30/2503L), Mark Hayes’s arrangement of this traditional spiritual is a guaranteed favorite. A four-hand piano accompaniment (optional two-hand available) is not only supportive of the choir but adds great excitement as the choir sings of good news and exclaims “O Peter, go ring them bells!” Great for worship and concert!

Peter Go Ring Them Bells

We sang this anthem for Tranfiguration Sunday. It was great fun for the last Sunday before Lent. The text also refers to Moses and Elijah which makes it a good fit for Transfiguration Sunday. The 4-hand piano accompaniment is FUN. It adds a lot of joy and pizzaz to the piece. I would recommend getting it to your pianists ahead of time as it is not easy. The choral part is not difficult.
