JOY. That one word inspired the writing of People Rejoice. People Rejoice was written for the 2007 ATime for Joy concert at First United Methodist Church of Pittsburgh, PA, at the request of Tim Coles, director. This piece should be nothing less than a celebration of God's love, forgiveness, and redemption. Sing with energy and passion, anticipate the syncopated rhythms, and have fun!
People Rejoice is well suited for additional instruments to be used, such as drum set, electric bass, and/or various auxiliary percussion. Performers are welcome to add instruments as they wish in order to enhance the performance of this piece.
