The song has been covered by top-tier singers from Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, and the Staple Singers, to Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart. I decided to use it in a church context during the season of Advent, a season of expectation and getting ready. Here is the low voice-and-piano arrangement as I performed it in December 2022.
