This is the fourth in my series of Pavane and Galliard pairings. The present Galliard is especially exciting and would make a fantastic and not-terribly-difficult-to-learn postlude, wedding Recessional, or recital closing piece, as it's a real "show-stopper!" The Pavane, as usual in this type of dance pairing, is slower and more stately and would make a good prelude or offertory selection in a church service. The entire piece, while perfectly suitable for a church service, is conceived primarily as a concert piece and is well within the technical reach of an average organist.
