This is a tango written in the traditional 2/4 time signature, and in the style you see in older tango piano solo scores. Take a look at the partitura for the seminal and popular tango, La Cumparsita, on the todotango.com web site!
Don't let the heavily-flagged notes in my work and in the old piano tangos intimidate you -- the tempos are usually under 60 quarter notes per minute. Mine is 56. The title of my work, Patas Arriba, translates, roughly, as "Head Over Heels".
