This is a fun piece for students to experiment with tempo and staccato. The parts about the drum could be played staccato while the flute parts could be played very legato. This arrangement is simplified for beginning students with minimal movement of the hands. The right hand plays a few cross-over notes but the left hand remains in the starting position on the keyboard.
