Pass the Advent Light is a charming and flexible arrangement of a traditional canon that may be performed by both school and church choirs, either mixed or treble voice, 2-part or unison. The arranger has also incorporated references to the traditional plainchant, Veni Emmanuel (O Come, O Come, Emmanuel).The theme of this arrangement is joining together in the light of peace, hope, joy and love. Ideal for candlelight services, it is especially appropriate for Advent worship, though its message is also suitable for peace services, Christ the King, Christmas Eve, Epiphany, Lent and Transfiguration.

lovely, very accessible
My small church choir is loving this as they prepare it for a special Advent anthem. Very accessible for singers who don't read music and who have trouble singing their own part. We'll be able to have them learn their notes and then start singing musically. (The canon format is so great with this choir, making it so much easier for them to learn their notes.)

Fantastic flute part!
This is an absolutely lovely anthem in canon form. The flute accompaniment is lyrical and soars above the choir at times but meshes seamlessly with the vocal parts at others. I purchased the piece for my choir as a memorial and look forward to playing it again.

Pass the Advent Light
I am excited to present this piece to my small parish choir as well as to a Christmas choral group I direct each year. The piece has a somewhat restrained energy that lends itself to lovely dynamics. I've already shared it with my keyboardist and flutest and they are excited about it as well. I do believe this will become a standard for us.
