This work opens with the glorious Hosanna in the highest, as a colorful organ accompaniment celebrates Christ’s entrance into Jerusalem. It then incorporates the St. Theodulph theme and lyrics (All glory, laud, and honor…), with a mysteriously dark organ accompaniment that hints at the dark days leading up to the crucifixion. An effective anthem that can be learned quickly during the busy season before Easter. Recorded by the WSU Chamber Singers, Hank Dahlman, Conductor.
