The Pakhra River rises about fifty kilometers from Moscow. This watercourse flows into the Moskva River, of which it is a tributary. Its flow is unstable after the winter thaw, and the sand accumulated over the years contributes to its winding course. Apart from the densely populated urban areas, the landscapes crossed by this river are typical of the European countryside and possess an essentially bucolic character.

La rivière PAKHRA prends sa source à une cinquantaine de kilomètres de Moscou. Ce cours d’eau rejoint la Moskova dont elle est un affluent; son débit est instable après la glaciation d’hiver et le sable accumulé aux cours des ans contribuent à son tracé sinueux.
