Het idee om een origineel stuk voor band te schrijven, ontstond bij de geboorte van de dochter van de componist. De kopersectie presenteert in dit stuk de thema’s, terwijl de houtblazers de verfijningen aanbrengen. De beginfanfare en het koraal kondigen het nieuwe leven aan en bezingen het. Hoewel het een ouverture is met een duidelijk en levendig ritme, is er ook plek voor kalmere, meer melodische en intieme momenten. Aan het eind komen de beginthema’s weer terug en maken zo de cirkel weer rond.

The idea of composing an original piece for band, appeared at the birth of the composers daughter. In this piece the brass section takes a leading role with introducing the themes while the woodwinds have the role of enhancing and adding to them with a subtle intervention. The initial fanfare foretells the birth of a new life whereas the choral is a hymn to life. Despite being an overture, where the rhythm is quite precise and vibrant, there is also room for more melodic and intimate moments. At the end, some of the themes heard earlier reappear, thus closing the circle.

L’idée d’écrire une pièce originale pour harmonie est née pendant la naissance de la fille du compositeur. La section de cuivres présente ici les thèmes, pendant que les bois ajoutent le raffinement. La fanfare initiale et la chorale annoncent la nouvelle vie et en chantent la louange. Malgré le rythme vivace et prononcé de l’ouverture, il y a aussi des moments plus calmes, mélodieux et intimes. À la fin, les thèmes du début reviennent et referment le cercle.

Durch die Geburt seiner Tochter ist der Komponist Rui Claro zu diesem originellen Stück angeregt worden. Die Themen werden in diesem Stück zunächst von den Blechbläsern präsentiert, während die musikalische Ausarbeitung von den Holzbläsern übernommen wird. Die Einleitungsfanfare und ein Choral kündigen das neue Leben an und besingen es. Auch wenn es sich hier um eine Ouvertüre mit einem prägnanten und lebendigen Rhythmus handelt, ist auch Raum für ruhigere, eher melodische und intime Momente, Die Wiederholung des Eingangsthemas am Ende sorgt für thematische Geschlossenheit.
