Most of the available Sondheim arrangements for concert band are grade 3 medleys, but this edition presents the musical's famous waltz as a complete concert work drawn directly from the Broadway score. Re-scored for wind band, it is sure to challenge while remaining within reach and can fit on a variety of programs—from pops, Broadway, and patriotic/Americana to more traditional concert repertoire. The keyboard/synth, harp, and string bass parts are nice additions, but optional.
