First published in 1888, Sobre las Olas was later used in the film The Great Caruso with the lyrics, The Loveliest Night of the Year, and it soon became a familiar tune at fairgrounds and circuses across the U.S. This arrangement is for Easy/Beginner Violin with a piano accompaniment.
