‘Over the Hills and Far Away’ is a traditional English song, dating back to at least the late 17th century. The tune was popularised when used in the British ‘Sharpe’ TV series in the 1990s. This version, for brass band, has a military style but with, hopefully, added melodic and harmonic interest.
