fun, and not so easy
This is a clever setting of this text, and just what Nick Page says it is - not unlike a madrigal. It's fun as an example of a contemporary piece which makes use of 2 v 3 meters, and a modal tonality. Some of the voice leading is counterintuitive, and the piece is harder than one might think from the innocent opening unison lines. My group hasn't finished learning it yet, so we've yet to see how challenging it will be to really pull it all together.
