Versatile Backing Tracks for Instrumentalists
While designed for instrumentalists, this Ornette Coleman Play-Along offers excellent accompaniment versatility. The professional rhythm tracks provide a solid foundation, and the removable piano part on the CD is brilliant. It allows me to practice my comping without competing, truly supporting the lead instrument through complex jazz changes. A great tool for developing ensemble playing and understanding the texture of these compositions.

Excellent Resource for Developing Jazz Students
This Ornette Coleman Jazz Play-Along is fantastic for my intermediate students. The lead sheets are clear, making rhythm and reading accessible, and Hal Leonard's engraving is reliably good. Finally Playing Ornette Coleman!
I've always wanted to learn Ornette Coleman, and this 'Jazz Play-Along' book makes it so enjoyable!
