Oriental Postcards is comprised of three variations on a theme with an Eastern character: in From Egypt, the theme is contrastingly first played in brass and then in woodwind, in From the Desert the drums play an important role.and in From the Orient Express the theme appears in a fun, light-hearted guise. This catchy composition was especially written for young musicians and is especially suitable for youth orchestras.

Oriental Postcards bestaat uit drie variaties op een thema met een oosters karakter: in From Egypt wordt het thema ge ntroduceerd door het koper en vervolgens het hout, in From the Desert verschijnt het thema in de vorm van eendans en speelt het slagwerk een belangrijke rol. En in het laatste deel, From the Orient Express, duikt het thema op in een vrolijk, luchtig jasje. Deze toegankelijke muziek is in het bijzonder gecomponeerd voor jonge muzikanten en is daarommet name geschikt voor jeugdorkesten.

Oriental Postcards besteht aus drei Variationen über ein Thema mit östlichem Charakter: In From Egypt wird das Thema kontrastreich erst von Blech- und dann von Holzbläsern präsentiert, in From the Desert spielt das Schlagzeugeine wichtige Rolle und im letzten Teil From the Orient Express erscheint das Thema in einem fröhlichen, leichten Gewand. Dieses eingängige Stück wurde speziell für junge Musiker komponiert und eignet sich daher besonders für Jugendorchester.

l‘origine composée pour un spectacle musical et thé tral, cette pièce en reprend le thème et le décline en trois manières différentes comme s’il s’agissait de cartes postales expédiées d’Orient. Une fanfare majestueuse et noble symbolisant lagrandeur des pyramides et la puissance des pharaons - une sorte de danse où la percussion joue un rôle important - une ligne joyeuse et légère vous invitant monter bord du célèbre Orient Express. Le final, brillant et rapide, clôture le voyagepar un somptueux feu d‘artifice !

Oriental Postcards è costituito da tre variazioni su un tema avente carattere orientale. In From Egypt il tema è presentato ricco di contrasti, prima dagli ottoni e poi dai legni, mentre in From the Desert è la batteria ad avereun ruolo importante. Nell’ultima parte, From the Orient Express, il tema è presentato in veste allegra e leggera. Appositamente composto per giovani musicisti, Oriental Postcards si presta in modo ottimale per essere eseguito daorchestre junior.
