This is a wonderful 21st century concert piece. It is moderately easy, but oh so lyrical and interesting both for the audience and the players. There are some easy mixed meters. The primary motif is mainly heard by 1st trumpet and tuba, but everybody gets a piece. The harmonies are rich, lush, modern, and very enjoyable. This is a minor masterpiece suitable for most quintets. Discover this fresh sound and form. Great work!
