Finally, Opera Melodies I Can Play!
I've always loved opera, and this book lets me finally play some of my favorite melodies from works like Carmen and La Boheme! It's challenging at SMP Level 8 with those 4 and 5-note chords, but so rewarding to hear these iconic tunes come alive on my piano. It’s a wonderful collection for relaxation and really makes me feel connected to the music.

A Valuable Resource for Understanding Operatic Textures
While this is a piano solo collection and lacks vocal lines or lyrics, it's invaluable for a vocal coach. The 74 arrangements, at an early advanced level, offer rich piano textures that give insight into the operatic accompaniment style. It's excellent for studying voice-leading patterns and gaining familiarity with the melodies from 45 different operas, even without the vocal part present.

Solid Collection for Classical Gigs
A great compilation of 74 opera highlights for piano solo. At SMP Level 8, these arrangements are robust and faithful, suitable for more formal classical events or background music. Just be aware there are no chord symbols, as expected for these types of transcriptions. The 240 pages mean a lot of material, though one needs to consider page turns for longer selections.

Opera at the Piano
This book has a broad range of familiar operatic melodies. As a self-taught pianist I found it a little bit too challenging, having many pieces in keys with liberal doses of sharps and flats, but the positive side of this is that you are getting the music in authentic key signatures, so it will have the right sound. I have had a lot of fun crashing my way through Mozart's Queen of the Night Aria, though I doubt the family has shared my enjoyment!

almost perfect
I just love it.I find my favourite arias in this book and at last the arrangements are not too easy. But I would still wish a little bit more difficult level.
