The rousing waltz Oom-Pah-Pah comes from Oliver!, Lionel Bart's 1960 musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' beloved novel Oliver Twist.
Sung by Nancy and the crowd at the "Three Cripples" tavern, the number originally opened Act II; in the subsequent 1969 film adaptation it's moved to near the end, where Nancy uses it to cover her attempt to get Oliver away from the murderous Bill Sikes.
It's a real crowd pleaser!
