"Crazylegs" Hirsch (June 17, 1923, Wausau, Wisconsin - January 28, 2004, Madison, Wisconsin) for the recessional music at Elroy's funeral service, which was held February 3, 2004 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison. With no known organ arrangement suitable for a service recessional available, this setting of On, Wisconsin! was written specifically for the occasion by Deborah Krauss, Organist/Director of Music at Asbury United Methodist Church at that time.
