Olympus consists of three parts, for which the composer drew inspiration from ancient Greek myths, goddesses and traditional festivals, as well as the Olympic motto "Citius, Altius, Fortius", Latin for "Faster, Higher,Stronger".
Olympus bestaat uit drie delen, waarvoor de componist inspiratie ontleende aan oude Griekse mythen, godinnen en traditionele feesten, evenals het Olympische motto ‘Citius, Altius, Fortius’, Latijn voor ‘Sneller, Hoger,Sterker’.
Das Werk Olympus basiert auf drei griechischen Sagen rund um das Thema Olympia, verarbeitet in den Sätzen The Temple of Zeus at Olympia, The Olympic Flame und The Olympic Truce, sowie das olympischeMotto "Citius, Altius, Fortius", lateinisch für "Schneller, Höher, Stärker".
La composition Olympus est basé sur trois mythes grecs autour du thème d'Olympie, traitées dans les mouvements The Temple of Zeus at Olympia, The Olympic Flame und The Olympic Truce, ainsi que ladevise olympique "Citius, Altius, Fortius", latin pour "Plus vite, Plus haut, Plus fort".
