The song is written in an almost "50s doowop" style. However, it also demonstrates a modern and sophisticated sense of harmony and structure. The song performed well internationally, reaching number one in several countries, and has been subject to multiple cover versions since its release.
This arrangement works with most synth tone settings. However, it sounds best on a 'Woodwind' selection. It is specifically designed to accommodate keyboards which do not have a sustain pedal, making it a highly convenient and fun to play arrangement at impromptu performances on the go. Its upbeat 'compound time' combined with a soaring melody makes it an ideal piece for fairground attractions and as motivational music at sporting events.
